John Bonser’s five-year term of office as the Pensioner Representative Trustee for the Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire constituency came to an end on 30 September 2019. Over the summer, an election was held in the constituency, following which Michael Newton was elected. Michael will now serve a five-year period until September 2024.

Results in detail:

  • Six candidates stood for election.
  • 9,113 members voted, which is just under 30% of the 30,495 who were eligible to vote.
  • Michael Newton received over 35% of the votes cast.

The Trustees would like to thank John, who decided not to stand for re-election, for his work over the last few years, and for his commitment to the Scheme and its members. The Trustees would also like to offer their thanks to all those who expressed an interest in the election, whether by standing for election or by voting.
